Celebrating Diversity at the Medway Culture Club Carnival 2026

Kent Police Community Safety Unit officers and Cadets were pleased to attend the Medway Culture Club Carnival 2026, a fantastic community event that welcomed more than 2,500 people to celebrate the rich cultural diversity of Medway.

This is the third year that Medway CSU has supported the carnival, and it has been wonderful to see the event grow year on year. The day brought together residents, community groups, faith organisations and local leaders from a wide range of backgrounds, creating an atmosphere of inclusion, friendship and mutual respect.

Events like this provide valuable opportunities for officers to meet residents in a relaxed setting, listen to community views, build trust and strengthen relationships with the diverse communities we serve.

Throughout the day, officers and Cadets spoke with members of the public, promoted My Community Voice, shared crime prevention advice and engaged with young people about community safety and opportunities within policing. We also enjoyed experiencing the many cultural performances, music and dances that made the event such a success.

We would like to thank the organisers, volunteers and everyone involved in making this incredible event possible. Your hard work continues to bring communities together and showcase the very best of Medway.
